HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian shares ended lower on Friday, except for the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP), which closed unchanged at 2,174.67.
In Viet Nam, the VN Index gained 5.20 points to finish at 497.50 in HCM City, while the HNX Index declined 0.07 points to end at 60.94 in the capital city.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 lost 132.94 points to end at 14,024.31, while the Topix Index (TPX) lost 10.17 points to finish at 1,163.82. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) in Hong Kong lost 75.86 to close at 23,138.54. The Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore declined 6.71 points to finish at 3,138.1. — VNS
