HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Investors were left with mixed results across Asian stock exchanges on Tuesday. Both bourses ended lower in Viet Nam, where the VN Index in HCM City lost 0.39 points to finish at 492.24 and the Ha Noi HNX Index declined 0.03 points to end at 60.93.
With China celebrating National Day, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) stayed flat at 2,174.67 and the Hang Seng Index (HSI) in Hong Kong remained at 22,859.86.
The Straits Times Index (STI) climbed 13.36 points to finish at 3,181.2.
Tokyo stocks saw different outcomes for the two bourses. The Nikkei 225 added 28.92 points to end at 14,484.72, while the Topix Index (TPX) lost 0.66 points to finish at 1,193.44.— VNS
