HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The stock exchanges across Asia recorded mixed results on Wednesday. Vietnamese bourses rose, with the VN Index in HCM City adding 2.15 points to finish at 494.39 and the Ha Noi HNX Index gaining 0.13 points to end at 61.05
After China's National Day, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) climbed 14.64 to end at 2,174.67 and the Hang Seng Index (HSI) in Hong Kong jumped 106.34 to close at 22,966.20.
Meanwhile, Tokyo's two bourses suffered losses, as did Singapore's. The Nikkei 225 lost 314.23 points to end at 14,170.49, while the Topix Index (TPX) lost 18.28 points to finish at 1,175.16. The Straits Times Index (STI) declined 29.92 points to finish at 3,152.6. — VNS
