HA NOI (Biz Hub)– Shares rallied this morning on both stock exchanges, halting the four-day decline.
The VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange added 0.37 per cent to reach 484.56 points.
Trading value rose slightly compared to yesterday morning, reaching nearly VND395.1 billion (US$18.6 million) on a volume of 20.1 million shares.
The VN30, tracking the 30 leading shares by capitalisation and liquidity, also rose 0.2 per cent to 541.12 points. One third of the blue chips advanced, 13 others closed the morning session unchanged while the other seven stocks tumbled.
Steelmaker Hoa Sen Group (HSG) was the greatest loser, dropping more than 3 per cent.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index finished at 62.39 points, a 0.08 per cent increase.
However, both trading value and volume declined to just VND76.8 billion ($3.6 million) and 10 million shares.
The performance of the 30 largest stocks helped the HNX30 gain 0.4 per cent to 116.51 points. – VNS
