HA NOI - Shares extended last Friday's rally on both bourses this morning.
On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed at 489.37 points, advancing 0.6 per cent, while gainers outnumbered losers 97-56.
Trading value and volume fetched VND552.6 billion (around USD$26 million) over 39.2 million shares, while the VN30, tracking the city's top 30 shares by capitalisation and liquidity, swelled 0.5 per cent to 548.19 points.
Phu My Fertiliser (DPM), Kinh Do Confectionery (KDC) and food processor Bourbon Tay Ninh (SBT) tumbled, while 15 other blue chips notched substantial gains. Private equity group Masan (MSN) advanced by VND3,000 per share, up 3.6 per cent.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the benchmark HNX-Index edged up 0.24 per cent to reach 60.54 points as gainers overwhelmed losers by 70-53.
With more than 17.1 million shares changing hands, the value of trades totalled VND136.5 billion ($6.4 million).
The HNX30, representing Ha Noi's largest stocks, gained 0.8 per cent to close at 112.68 points. - VNS
