Ha Noi's benchmark index fails to rally

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares rallied in HCM City this morning but lost further ground in Ha Noi.

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.64 per cent to reach 495.37 points.

However, the value of trades dropped 36 per cent from yesterday morning's session to VND512.4 billion (US$24.1 million). Trading volume stood at over 45 million shares.

The VN30, tracking the largest 30 stocks by capitalisation and liquidity, also added 0.55 per cent to close at 552.63 points, with only Eximbank (EIB) edging down 0.7 per cent.

Meanwhile, the benchmark HNX-Index on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange fell 0.07 per cent to 60.89 points on a total turnover of over VND123.4 billion ($5.8 million).

But the HNX30, composed of the capital city's top 30 shares, bucked the trend to put on 0.2 per cent and close at 113.52 points. — VNS
