HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Shares ended in the green on both of the nation's stock exchanges this morning.

The VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange added 0.5 per cent to close at 485.24 points and the VN30, representing the city's 30 best stocks, also grew by 0.53 per cent to 546.10 points.

Only software company FPT (FPT) retreated, while two-thirds of the shares tracked by the VN30 increased. Becamex Infrastructure Development (IJC) hit its ceiling price during this morning's session.

The overall trading value reached nearly VND510.2 billion (US$24 million) as 42 million shares were transacted.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 59.99 points, a 0.3 per cent rise compared to yesterday.

With 16.2 million shares changing hands, the northern bourse's trading value totalled VND127.5 billion ($6 million).

The HNX30, composed of the 30 largest stocks by capitalisation and liquidity, edged up 0.54 per cent to 111.01 points.—VNS
