HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Share markets closed mixed across Asia on Monday. In Viet Nam, both bourses ended higher; the HNX Index gaining 0.46 points to close at 59.63, while in HCM City, the VN Index added 1.90 points to finish the session at 479.09.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) added 29.19 points to reach 2,221.04, while the Hang Seng Index (HSI) declined 130.97 points to close at 23,371.54 in Hong Kong. The Straits Times Index (STI) lost 23.28 points to finish at 3,214.2.
While Japan celebrated its ancestoral worshipping festival today, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) stayed at 14,742.42 and the Topix Index (TPX) finished at 1,218.98. — VNS
