HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam shares bucked the trend to end higher yesterday. The HNX Index gained 0.18 points to close at 59.81, while in HCM City, the VN Index added 3.73 points to finish the session at 482.82.
Meanwhile in China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) shed 13.51 points to 2,207.53, while the Hang Seng Index (HSI) declined 192.50 points to close at 23,179.04 in Hong Kong. The Straits Times Index (STI) lost 2.06 points to finish at 3,212.2.
Sharing the same fate, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) declined 9.81 to 14,732.61 and the Topix Index (TPX) lost 4.11 to finish at 1,214.87. — VNS
