HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Share markets closed mixed across Asia on Friday. As Hong Kong and mainland China enjoyed a day off for their mid-autumn festival, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) was unchanged at 2,191.85 and the Hang Seng Index (HSI) stayed at 23,502.51.
In Viet Nam, the HNX Index gained 0.18 points to close at 59.17, while in HCM City, the VN Index added 1.10 points to finish the session at 477.19. In Singapore, the Straits Times Index (STI) lost 14.25 points to finish at 3,237.5.
Japanese bourses ended mixed with the Nikkei 225 (NKY) declining 23.76 points to 14,742.42, while the Topix Index (TPX) added 3.50 points to finish at 1,218.98. — VNS
