Viet Nam Treasury sells G-Bond on Thursday

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The State Treasury of Viet Nam sold over one-third of the government bonds offered on Thursday at yields of 7.55-7.8 per cent per year.

A total of VND3 trillion(US$142.8 million) worth of two-year, three-year and five-year bonds were up for auction.

After selecting 20 bidders for the two-year bonds, the treasury sold VND930 billion ($44.2 million) bonds with coupon rates of 7.55 per cent per year, the same rate as in the previous auction on September 12.

It also sold VND300 billion ($14.2 million) worth of three-year bonds with the coupon rate of 7.80 per cent per year, 0.1 per cent higher than the last auction for this type on August 29.

The five-year bonds were not sold.

Since the beginning of this year, the State Treasury has mobilized more than VND106 trillion ($5.047 billion) of government bonds. — VNS
