HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Fourteen credit institutions paid VND37.36-37.39 million ($1,778-1,779) per tael on Friday for 14,600 of the 15,000 taels of gold that the State Bank of Viet Nam offered at its 62nd auction .
Gold prices declined by VND140,000($6.60) per tael in local markets when the Saigon Jewellery Company (SJC) posted a rate of VND37.30-37.48 million ($1,777-1,785) on its website at 3pm.
The kitco.com trading floor listed the price at $1,322 per ounce, or $1,593 per tael, leaving prices in Viet Nam $192 per tael higher than global rates.
