Huawei Vietnam has officially launched the ICT Competition 2024-25, offering students the chance to enhance their information and communication technology (ICT) skills in cloud, network and computing tracks.
The competition not only provides valuable learning opportunities but also exciting rewards, including the chance to compete globally in Malaysia and China, and to intern at Huawei Vietnam.
Now in its third season in Việt Nam, the Huawei ICT Competition is an annual global event aimed at university and college students pursuing ICT careers. With the theme 'Connect, Glory, Future,' the competition promotes international exchange, knowledge sharing, and practical skill development. This year, the competition introduces a new Computing Track, alongside the existing Cloud and Network Tracks, providing students with broader learning options.
Participants will choose to focus on one of the following tracks: cloud computing, big data, and AI; IP technologies, data transmission, security, WLAN, and DCN; and OpenEuler OS, openGauss database, and Kunpeng processors.
Students will first compete in national rounds, with top performers advancing to the Asia-Pacific Regional Round in Malaysia, and the Global Final in China. Aside from the chance to compete internationally, top students will also gain internship opportunities at Huawei Vietnam.
Since its inception in 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition has attracted over 750,000 students from 2,000+ universities across 85 countries. Recognised by the Chinese Association of Higher Education as a national competition, the event has grown to include new tracks and competition formats each year. Last season, Việt Nam’s team won Third Prize in the Global Finals, underscoring the strength of local talent.
