HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian share markets experienced mixed fortunes on Monday. The HNX Index fell by 0.26 points to end at 61.44 in Ha Noi while the VN Index in HCM City declined 1.16 points to close at 499.46.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) declined by 95.76 to finish at 13,519.43 while the Topix Index (TPX) lost 6.29points to close at 1,134.62.
Investors were happier on the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP), which gained 49.05 points to sit at 2,101.28, while the Hang Seng Index (HSI) climbed 463.72 points to close at 22,271.28 in Hong Kong. The Straits Times Index (STI) gained 3.88 points to finish on 3,233.8 in Singapore. — VNS
