HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Share markets across Asia ended down on Wednesday, apart from the VN Index in HCM City which gained 3.54 points to close at 500.1. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index also slipped back by 0.04 points to close at 62.17.
Investors in Japan and Hong Kong saw serious losses today with the Hang Seng Index (HSI) dropping 334.86 points to close at 21,588.84 in Hong Kong. Meanwhile in Japan, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) fell by 576.12 to end at 13,824.94 while the Topix Index (TPX) lost 38.40 points to close at 1,155.26.
Also following this trend, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) shed 13.72 points to reach 2,046.78. The Straits Times Index (STI) lost 3.3 points to finish on 3,221.6.— VNS
