HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian share markets ended with a mixed bag on Thursday. The VN Index in HCM City slipped back to close at 498.22 while in Ha Noi, the HNX Index also fell slightly, by 0.36 points to end at 61.81
Meanwhile in Japan, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) dropped by 214.38 to finish at 13,605.56 while the Topix Index (TPX) lost 15.67 points to close at 1,139.59. Also following this trend, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) shed 1.88 points to sit at 2,044.90.
On the brighter side, investors in Hong Kong and Singapore had more confidence in the Hang Seng Index (HSI), climbing 67.04 points to close at 21,655.88 in Hong Kong and The Straits Times Index (STI) gained 5.02 points to finish on 3,229.91 in Singapore.— VNS
