HA NOI (Biz Hub) —  Stocks on Viet Nam's two bourses closed in the red this morning, Transactions are expected to become even slower, but liquidity remained good.

On HCM City Stock Exchange the VN-Index lost 2.72 points to close at 483.5 points. Total trading volume was more than 30.8 million shares worth VND501.87 billion (US$23.9 million).

Contrary to yesterday's excitement, investors treated the market with caution. The market rapidly declined as it suffered from strong selling pressure from investors.

At 9.50 am, the demand gradually began to recover and helped the VN-Index slightly retreat in the green. But, poor purchasing power did not help the VN-Index increase much.

A few minutes later, the VN-Index unexpectedly declined. The market saw 66 gainers, 66 unchanged and 101 decliners.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also slightly declined 0.16 per cent to reach 60.16 points. — VNS
