Shares continue to slide in Viet Nam

On HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index lost 0.28 per cent to close at 499.27 points with a total value of VND613.93 billion (USS$29.23 billion) on a volume of 33.75 million shares.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) – Shares continued to slide on the two national stock exchanges this morning.

On HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index lost 0.28 per cent to close at 499.27 points with a total value of VND613.93 billion (USS$29.23 billion) on a volume of 33.75 million shares.

The VN30-Index, consisting of the southern city's 30 largest shares, also shed 0,21 per cent to reach 555.55 points. Losers doubled gainers 10 to five.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index was 0.62 per cent lower, at 60.78 points. More than 17.75 million shares were traded with a total value of VND153.23 billion ($7.3 billion).

The HNX30-Index tumbled 0.66 per cent to 113.27 points.

Yesterday, the State Bank of Viet Nam pumped VND21 billion through the Open Market Operation (OMO).-VNS
