HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Sharemarkets closed mixed on Wednesday as the HNX Index fell 0.80 points to close at 58.73, while in HCM City, the VN Index lost 3.47 points to finish the session at 474.26.
The benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) gained 6.29 points to close at 2,191.85, with the Hang Seng Index (HSI) shedding 63.07 points to close at 23,117.45 in Hong Kong. In Singapore, the Straits Times Index (STI) gained 20.71 points to finish at 3,201.6.
Both Japanese bourses advanced with the Nikkei 225 (NKY) edging up 93.93 points to 14,505.36, while the Topix Index (TPX) added 11.43 points to finish trade at 1,193.07. — VNS
