HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Japan led Asian stock markets on Thursday. The Nikkei 225 climbed 156.87 points to end at 14,194.71, while the Topix Index (TPX) gained 11.05 points to finish at 1,177.95.
The Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore also gained 15.07 points to finish at 3,169.9.
On the other hand, Viet Nam and China lost. In Viet Nam, the HNX Index was down 0.43 points to end at 60.73 while the VN Index lost 5.86 points to end at 494.81.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) closed down 20.84 points to 2,190.93, while the Hang Seng Index (HSI) in Hong Kong declined 71.77 to close at 22,962. — VNS
