HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian shares ended lower on Monday as major markets across the region lost ground. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index slipped 0.35 points to 62.34, while in HCM City, the VN Index fell 2.89 points to 482.77.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gave up 48.93 points to end at 1,958.27 and the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong lost 272.48 points to finish at 20,582.19. Singaporean shares also took a tumble, with the Straits Times Index dropping 14.26 points to 3,155.47.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 lost 200.63 points to close at 14,109.34, while the Topix Index also lost 16 points to reach 1,172.58. — VNS
