HA NOI ( Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 added 98.74 points to finish at 14,516.27 in Tokyo, while the Topix Index gained 6.78 points to finish at 1,173.37 on April 18.
While the Hang Seng Index stayed unchanged at 22,760.24 in Hong Kong due to the Good Friday holiday, the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China lost 1.14 points to finish at 2,097.75.
The Straits Times Index added 0.60 points to end the day at 3,253.80 in Singapore, but both the bourses in Vietnam ended lower. The VN Index declined 14.98 points to close at 565.33 in HCM City, while the HNX Index lost 3.02 points to end at 80.58 in the capital city. — VNS
