HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietjet announced on January 22 that it will launch a new route from Ha Noi to Taipei on February 1, while also offering three return flights per week.
The flight between Ha Noi and Taipei will take 2 hours and 40 minutes one way and operate every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Flight VJ5972 will depart from Ha Noi at 15:10 and arrive at Taipei at 18:50 (local time). The return flight, VJ5973, will depart from Taiwan's capital city at 19:50 and arrive in Ha Noi at 21:30 (local time).
Tickets can be booked at www.vietjetair.com (also compatible with smartphones at https://m.vietjetair.com) or at www.facebook.com/vietjetvietnam, as well as by calling Vietjet's national call center at 1900 1886. Tickets are also sold at the airline's nationwide booking offices.
Vietjet currently operates daily flights between HCM City and Taipei. Flight VJ840 departs from HCM City at 1:10 and arrives in Taipei at 5:35 (local time). The return flight, VJ841, departs Taipei at 6:35 and arrives in HCM City at 9:00 (local time).
According to statistics revealed by Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, there were 438,700 Taiwanese visitors to Viet Nam in 2015, with a growth rate of 112 per cent, ranking behind mainland China, Korea, Japan and the US.
Meanwhile, the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan also revealed that approximately 146,400 Vietnamese travelled to Taiwan in 2015, up 6.71 per cent over 2014. — VNS
