HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The CEO group officially inaugurated Novotel Phu Quoc Resort in the district island of Phu Quoc on January 18, 2016 after over a year of construction.
Novotel Phu Quoc Resort, with a total investment of VNĐ4.5 trillion (US$200 million), covering a total area of 7.3 hectares, is one part of the five-star Sonasea Villas & Resort complex which is located in the Bai Truong area of the Phu Quoc island, according to the company's press release. It is a five-minute drive from the Phu Quoc international airport to the resort.
The resort was designed by the talented architects of Japan's third largest architectural design Kume Design Asia. Novotel Phu Quoc Resort is the blending of Japanese luxury style and the local culture imprint.
The resort consists of a 5-storey hotel and 44 villas with 400 rooms with various types to serve the demands of high-class tourism such as beachfront villas, villas with swimming pools, deluxe twin- villas, suites, superior, and family rooms.
In addition, the resort includes two restaurants that follow contemporary architectural designs. One serves buffets with various dishes and the other offers tourists fresh seafood dishes and local specialties. Tourists also have the opportunity to enjoy many exquisite cocktails while contemplating the view of the ocean at the relaxing environment of the resort's three bars, namely Lounge Bar, Pool Bar and Beach Pool Bar.
Furthermore, Novotel Phu Quoc Resort also offers multiple services such as leisure and entertainment. It has one modern gymnasium, one spa, two tennis courts, and two large swimming pools measuring 500sq.m, apart from one children's swimming pool and one club for children.
In addition, the resort's 650sq m conference hall is designed to host large-scale conferences and events.
The construction of hotels, villas and other facilities just accounts for less than 20 per cent of the total area, and the rest is occupied by trees and pools, creating green spaces, promising to provide tourists with wonderful and nature-friendly experiences during their stay.
The resort, operated by Europe-based Accor Group, known as the world's leading hotel group, has set two records. Its construction was finished earliest with room-scale measuring up to Accor international standards, and it is the first Novotel resort in Viet Nam that is operated by the Accor system as well as the largest international hotel on Phu Quoc Island.
Doan Van Binh, CEO's chairman said that in putting Novotel Phu Quoc Resort into operation in 2016, the National Tourism Year hosted by the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Kien Giang, will contribute to promoting the image of Phu Quoc in the world through the Accor Group's global hotel system, boosting tourism, contributing socio-economic growth of Phu Quoc island, and attracting tourists, along with local and foreign investors to the island. — VNS
