The Swiss luxury watchmaker Patek Philippe, in collaboration with the Ha Noi-based Tam Son International Co Ltd (Tam Son), has hosted a grand opening event to inaugurate their first boutique in Ha Noi.

Located in the heart of city at the historic Legend Metropole Hotel, the 200sq.m boutique expresses the brand’s commitment to excellence and its spirit of tradition and innovation.

At the event last Friday, Tam Son’s Managing Partner Nguyen Thi Nhung stated that her company is proud to be the first and only boutique for Patek Philippe in Viet Nam.

“We are committed to provide the highest level of service in the new flagship boutique, as Vietnamese collectors and enthusiasts explore a wide range of Patek Philippe watches. This is a start of a promising partnership which will strengthen in time to bring to Viet Nam the unique skills and craftsmanship of a legendary brand like Patek Philippe.”

Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe SA who flew in from Geneva for this event, said: “Patek Philippe looks forward to a strong and long-standing partnership with Tam Son who has for many years played a pivotal role in shaping the luxury industry in Viet Nam.

"As a family owned business and the fourth generation myself, I believe we are quite successful today because we are independent and in my family we believe in quality over quantity. It’s a real honour to be here in Ha Noi and your passion will spur Patek Philippe to continue to serve the market with beautiful watches and good service.”

To mark this special event, the two partners, Stern and Nhung, made a symbolic gesture of placing a Calatrava cross together on a lacquered artwall. The Calatrava cross is synonymous with Patek Philippe as its hallmark and it embodies the values of the company.

Since 1839, Patek Philippe has been continuously perpetuating the tradition of Geneva fine watchmaking. As an independent watch manufacturer, it enjoys total creative freedom to design, produce, and complete what experts agree to be the finest timepieces in the world. The company’s precious, classically elegant watches, handed down from one generation to the next, are the result of advanced technology combined with ancestral watchmaking know-how. — VNS
