HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viettel has become the first mobile network in Viet Nam to officially deliver the iPad from US-based Apple Inc.

From July 30, the largest Vietnamese network will distribute iPad Air Cellular and iPad mini Retina Cellular in two storage sizes: 16GB and 32GB at its stores. The products all have a 12-month warranty.

Viettel also gives promotions to iPad users. They can use 2GB data per month within 18 months with only a payment of VND90,000 (US$4.2).

Earlier, Viettel delivered iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 4S 8GB from November 15, 2013.

However, Viettel is the second enterprise authorised to market iPads in Viet Nam. FPT Distribution, a member company of FPT Corporation, became an official distributor of Apple products in April 2013. — VNS
