HA NOI (Biz Hub) — TechInsider on July 17 reported that Apple is acquiring FPT Corporation, but an official from Viet Nam's largest information and communication technology company has denied the report.
"FPT Corp is a long-term partner of Apple, Inc. in Viet Nam. However, the two sides have never discussed the US-based corporation's buying out FPT," Nguyen The Phuong, FPT's deputy general director in charge of finance, told local media on July 18.
The technology news page www.techinsider.net reported that "this is an effort by Apple to cease the third world market as Viet Nam is regarded as a growth hungry market with a strong potential user base for the technology sector."
