HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Shares gained in HCM City but tumbled in Ha Noi this morning.
The VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange gained nearly 0.5 per cent to 500.24 points.
Trading value increased 45.6 per cent compared to yesterday morning's level to VND664.7 billion (US$31.3 million) with around 51.3 million shares changing hands.
The VN30, bolstered by the gains of 18 blue chips, added 0.5 per cent to 558.62 points. The index tracks the southern bourse's 30 leading shares in terms of capitalisation and liquidity.
Meanwhile, on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index shed 0.02 per cent to 63.69 points.
Trading value and volume totalled more than VND197.9 billion ($9.3 million) and 31.1 million shares, respectively.
The HNX30, however, managed to rise 0.2 per cent to close at 120.08 points. — VNS
