HA NOI (Biz Hub)— The Nikkei 225 led an Asian market rally on Thursday, closing 309.25 points higher at 14,876.41 in Tokyo where the Topix Index (TPX) also added 14.36 points to close at 1,218.55.
Hang Seng Index (HSI) followed suit gaining 185.32 points to close at 22,649.15. Other gainers today included benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP), which added 12.57 points to close at 2,100.51, the Straits Times Index (STI) which edged up 26.36 points to finish at 3,186.7.
In the local market, the VN Index jumped 1.73 points to end at 497.85 in HCM City; the HNX Index in Ha Noi nudged up 0.06 points to close at 63.70.— VNS
