Shares in slower decline

HA NOI (Biz Hub)– Shares continued to decline this morning, however, the falls were lower than the previous session.

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index slid 1.26 per cent to 467.07 points.

While all the 30 largest shares tracked by the VN30 tumbled yesterday, four of them managed to rally this morning, including Vietinbank (CTG), steelmaker Hoa Sen (HSG), PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution (PGD) and Phu Nhuan Jewelry (PNJ).

The VN30 overall fell more than 1 per cent to reach 524.79 points.

Trading value lowered to VND775.7 billion (US$36.9 million) as 44 million shares changed hands.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index dropped over 1 per cent to 61.34 points.

Trading value fell to VND107.4 billion ($5.1 million) on a volume of 15.4 million shares.

The HNX30, representing the performance of Ha Noi's 30 leading blue chips, also shed over 1 per cent to 114.06 points. - VNS
