HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asia experienced bad stock market losses on Monday. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index lost 0.71 points to reach 63.55, while in HCM City, the VN Index lost 9.1 points to close at 489,74.
In China, the Shanghai Composite Index lost 109.60 points, closing at 1,963.2 while the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong lost a further 449.33 points to finish at 19,813.98. Singapore shares were down. The Straits Times Index lost 50.14 points to hit 3,074.3.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 lost 167.35 points to end at 13,062.78 and the Topix index lost 9.76 points to 1,089.64. — VNS
