HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Except in Japan, Asian shares ended lower on Friday. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index lost 0.49 points to hit 64.53, while in HCM City the VN Index lost 0.67 points to close at 498,84.
In China, the Shanghai Composite Index lost 10.36 points, closing at 2,073 while the Hang Seng Index lost a further 119.56 points to finish at 20,263.31 in Hong Kong. Singapore shares were also down. The Straits Times Index lost 8.81 points to hit 3,124.45.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 gained 215.55 points to end at 13,230.13 and the Topix index added 7.59 points to 1,099.40. — VNS
