HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Chinese markets faced major losses on July 27, and other Asian shares ended down; however, the two bourses in Viet Nam went up.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 345.35, or 8.48 per cent, to close at 3,725.56, while the Hang Seng Index lost 776.55 points, or 3.09 per cent, to close at 24,351.96 in Hong Kong.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 dropped 194.43 points to end at 20,350.1, while Singapore's Straits Times Index lost 37.90 points to end at 3,313.53.
On the other hand, the two bourses in Viet Nam had a good day. The VN Index added 4.2 points to close at 635.46, but the HNX Index gained 0.18 points to close at 86.5.— VNS
