HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major stock markets across Asia posted moderate gains on the final trading day of the week.
The only exception was Hong Kong, with the Hang Seng Index losing by 67.32 points to close at 24,595.32.
In Viet Nam, the benchmark VN-Index rose by 4.69 points to close at 669.78 on the HCM City Stock Exchange, and the HNX-Index increased by 1.09 points to end at 89.49 on the Ha Noi market.
In Japan, the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Price Index increased by 2.48 points to close at 1,313.72, and the Nikkei 225 added 39.09 points to end at 15,948.29.
In China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index gained 20.27 points to finish at 2,331.95. In Singapore, the Straits Times Index closed 1.82 points up at 3,349.10. — VNS
