Share prices rise in Japan and Singapore

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Japanese and Singaporean share markets ended the day higher while their Vietnamese and Hong Kong counterparts ended lower on Tuesday.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Price Index increased by 0.98 point to close at 1,299.62, and the Nikkei 225 gained 44.04 points to end at 15,749.15. Singapore's Straits Times Index added 10.16 points to close at 3,345.35.

Viet Nam's VN-Index slumped by 12.93 points to end at 626.92 on the HCM City Stock Exchange while the HNX-Index fell by 3.3 points on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange.

In China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index closed nearly unchanged at 2,326.53 while the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index lost by 49.70 points to finish at 25,190.45. — VNS
