HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Real estate developer Vingroup on August 27 announced it was investing VND500 billion (US$22.256 million) in the largest riverside park in Viet Nam in Binh Thanh District, HCM City.
Vinhomes Central Park, with more than 40 different units, will cover 14ha across a 1.2-km area near the River Saigon.
Designed by American garden designing group EDSA, the park will be based on the design of the Central Park in New York's Manhattan, to meet the leisure, entertainment and recreation demands of thousands of residents and visitors.
The park's green space will include wide lawns, a Saigon riverside garden, a Japanese garden and a plant garden. There will also be sidewalks, overbridges for visitors to appreciate the river terrace, and to do jogging, yoga and taichi in the open.
Vinhomes Central Park will also provide training in tennis, badminton and golf, as well as play areas for children.
As part of the project, Vingroup has spent additionally to improve the River Saigon's jetty, which was in a bad condition and was not functioning.
The park is expected to ready by 2016.— VNS
