HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Polycom, a company which specialises in HD video conferencing, voice conferencing and telepresence, opened three demonstration centres in Viet Nam on August 26 to provide customers the opportunity to experience firsthand its latest video, audio and content collaboration solutions.

The new centres, set up in partnership with Ademax JSC and Sunivy International Inc at a cost of US$1-3 million each, are indicative of Polycom's interest in Viet Nam as it looks to expand its technology portfolio and offerings to both existing and potential customers in the country.

The facilities will demonstrate collaborative technologies like automatic camera framing and zooming of meeting participants, interactive whiteboard capabilities, and noise cancelling technologies that can be used in various sectors like health care, manufacturing, banking, and government.

Ha Huy Hao, general director of Polycom in Viet Nam and Myanmar, said innovative technologies would help Viet Nam keep up with globalisation and be more competitive.

The company plans to launch two more centres in Da Nang and Ha Noi in the next six months. — VNS
