HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Saigon Co.op has earmarked VND180 billion (US$8.2 million) for a promotion programme that offers attractive discounts on thousands of Vietnamese high-quality products and hundreds of clean agricultural products from August 29 to September 20 at its Co.opmart and Co.opXtra outlets nation-wide.
The 2015 Proud of Vietnamese Goods campaign consists of seven distinct promotional programmes.
This is Saigon Co.op's 18th Proud of Vietnamese Goods campaign, which is considered one of Co.opmart's key and largest promotions. It not only supports locally made products but also enables customers to buy thousands of prestigious, quality Vietnamese products at low prices.
As part of its unceasing efforts to serve customers better, on August 29 Saigon Co.op will roll out a Co.opmart app for smart phones and upgrade its online shopping page at www.coophomeshopping.vn
The Co.opmart app, initially available only for Android, integrates many features like checking cumulative shopping points, updates on preferential treatment for certain customers, registration to participate in the customer loyalty programme, and others without having to physically go to the supermarket.
It can now be downloaded from Google Play Store, and the iOS version will be ready in October this year with many advanced features.
In the first half of this year Saigon Co.op, via its Singapore partner NTUC Fair Price, exported many kinds of farm produce like fresh coconut, sweet potato, dragon fruit and others to the island-nation. The value of the exports quadrupled from the same period last year. — VNS
