Vingroup owns five most valuable brands

HA NOI (Biz Hub) – Realty developer Vingroup announced that five of its products were selected as the most valuable brands at the "Top 50 most valuable brands" at Brand Finance 2016 on September 15.

They include Vinhomes, VinCommerce, Retail Vincom, Vinpearl and one subsidiary of the group, known as Nam Ha Noi Urban Development.

Vingroup officials said this was the second consecutive year that Vinhomes was selected for the award. Similar to last year, it was the only representative of the real estate industry that was among the top five winners. Experts from Brand Finance placed Vinhomes at 5th position with an AA rating. The brand was valued at US$511 million, having witnessed a 49 per cent growth, compared to 2015.

The other brands from Vincom Retail reached the 20th ranking, which was up 8 positions over last year. Further, Vinpearl placed at position 23, 9 places higher than last year, VinCommerce, launched in late 2015, placed 20th, and Nam Ha Noi Urban Development, a subsidiary of the group, reached 48th position.

As a private economic group, Vingroup has expanded into six areas, including real estate, resorts, retail, education, healthcare and agriculture.

On September 15, Brand Finance announced the nation's top 50 brands for the second year, in recognition of the development of the country's leading brand names. The total value of the 50 most valuable brands in Viet Nam in 2016 reached some US$7.3 billion.— VNS
