HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Pham Van Dung is set to become the first Vietnamese managing director of Ford Viet Nam starting in August, the US auto company announced.
He is currently finance director of the company and will replace Jesus Metelo Arias, who takes over as director, Ford customer service division marketing and sales, Ford Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Dung will have overall responsibility for leading Ford's operations in Viet Nam, including both the company's corporate functions and Hai Duong assembly operations.
Dung joined the company in 1998. He has a master's degree in economics from the Viet Nam Commercial University and another in finance from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia.
Ford Viet Nam last week reported its best ever first half performance with sales rising by 70 per cent year-on-year to 8,952 units. — VNS
