Saigon Asset Management and Viettel IDC have entered into a strategic agreement to expand Việt Nam's digital infrastructure and market presence.

This partnership is set to enhance data centre capabilities and cloud services for both Vietnamese and international market.

With this collaboration, SAM will support Viettel IDC to enhance Việt Nam’s digital scene and introduce advanced cloud computing services in Việt Nam.

Nguyễn Văn Thái, deputy director of Viettel IDC, said: "The market expertise SAM brings to the table, combined with Viettel IDC's infrastructure capabilities, is expected to drive significant domestic and international expansion.”

Now multinational corporations operating in the country often rely on overseas cloud providers, leading to service compromises and higher costs.

The collaboration aims to address this by offering scalable computing and storage solutions within the country.

Moreover, products associated with AI, machine learning, data analytics, and IoT are also integrated into the portfolio.

This aims to offer customers a one-stop shopping experience, providing them with a range of solutions under a single roof.

Jens Andreassen, SAM's director of technology investments, said: "Working with Viettel IDC, the top data centre service provider in Việt Nam, aligns with our goal of advancing cloud infrastructure in the region. This collaboration will enhance the nation's competitive edge and promote long-term economic and workforce development."

Louis Nguyễn, chairman and CEO of SAM, expressed confidence in the venture's potential, saying: "This partnership begins a new phase of growth. We're looking forward to showcasing Vietnamese innovation on the global stage and bringing Viettel IDC’s great values to international customers and the broader community." — VNS
