HCM CITY (Biz HUb) — The Sai Gon Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) has set a target of selling over 1.5 billion litres of products this year and contribute VND9.2 trillion (US$418 million) to the State budget, according to its chairman.

Vo Thanh Ha announced the sales target during a visit by HCM City's Party Committee Secretary Dinh La Thang to the company on Monday.

In 2015, Sabeco sold over 1.4 billion litres of products and contributed nearly VND8.9 trillion ($405 million) to the state budget.

During his visit, Thang urged the company to re-structure products and management as well as operations, and to use advanced technologies to improve competitiveness.

He said that HCM City would be ready to help and support the company.

Sabeco is one of the biggest domestic companies in the sector.

It now has 28 members and does business in many fields, including beer, alcohol, beverage, transportation and real estate.— VNS
