HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Internet service provider FPT Telecom has inaugurated two expanded data centres, with one in Ha Noi and the other in HCM City yesterday.

The centres are the first Uptime Tier III centres in the country.

Uptime Tier is the most prestigious evaluation criteria system in the world from low level to high level (from Tier I to Tier IV). The facility was built to achieve an N+1 redundancy and before it was built, FPT Telecom said it had to invest heavily in networking infrastructure in Viet Nam and backbone peering connections. It completed a north to south backbone in 2012. FPT currently operates four data centres in the country.

On the same day, FPT Telecom officially announced its co-operation with Internet Initiative Japan Inc in developing and providing Cloud service in Viet Nam from May 2016. — VNS
