Pond’s ties up with Shopee to provide AI skincare method

Unilever-owned skincare brand Pond’s is partnering with Shopee to launch a regional campaign, enabling the two companies to capture more digital-savvy consumers in the region and drive higher engagement, as e-commerce becomes an increasingly important channel of growth.

The campaign called “Smarter Skincare Just For You” will integrate the former’s cutting-edge skin advisor live AI chatbot exclusively on Shopee for the first time.

The AI-powered beauty tech solution with Shopee’s proven engagement tools will deliver an innovative and personalised online shopping experience.

The campaign has been rolled out in phases across four markets in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam, starting in December.

In Viet Nam, e-commerce has contributed more than 400 per cent of growth for Unilever’s skincare category year-over-year.

The sale of skincare products is expected to continue growing at double-digit numbers until t2023 in Southeast Asia.

From December 3-15, the Smarter Skincare Just For You campaign on Shopee Mall will feature exclusive deals and promotions, including many products discounted up to 37 per cent, voucher discounts of VN 100,000 applied for orders from VND500,000, and livestream with KOL. — VNS
