HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Online marketplace Lazada has announced an "online revolution month" from November 11 and December 14 during which it will offer discounts of up to 50 per cent on many products.
The company said the promotion would focus on four categories – cosmetics, home appliances, technology, and fashion.
On November 11 and December 12, 13, and 14, the peak days, there will be big promotions from brands like Tran Anh, Dien May Cho Lon, Samsung, L'Oreal, Huggies, Kangaroo, Biti's, and Kid Plaza.
Alexandre Dardy, CEO of Lazada, said it would be an ideal time for Vietnamese consumers to buy products like iPhone 7, Macbook Air, Samsung refrigerators, LG television sets at the lowest prices ever. Five million people are expected to access the website on the occasion, four times higher than last year, Dardy said.
Lazada Group is the biggest online shopping platform in Southeast Asia and has operations in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam, where it is the biggest e-commerce company.
In April, Alibaba, the world's largest online shopping platform, acquire a controlling stake in Lazada Group SA for $1 billion. — VNS
