PHU QUOC ISLAND (Biz Hub) — TUI Nordic, a charter airline based in Stockholm, Sweden, has announced its plans and strategies for the southern island of Phu Quoc for this winter and next year.
Its maiden flight to Phu Quoc will be on December 18 when a B-787 Dreamliner will fly non-stop from Sweden. TUI Nordic's programme will see one weekly flight until April 2, 2017.
"Nearly 5,000 Swedish customers will visit and enjoy the island during the next six months, and our ambition is to grow the destination further in coming years," Tommy Serban, TUI Nordic's senior product manager, said.
He said the recent opening of Richis Beach Resort and Novotel and the availability of a few other hotels meeting TUI Nordic customers' expectations, like La Veranda, Sea Star, Vinpearl and Saigon Phu Quoc, have enabled the company to launch the island as a destination for a full season.
Serban said: "Our customers were thrilled with the destination. Therefore we will be able to provide Phu Quoc with many more customers this coming winter."
