HA NOI (Biz Hub) — National carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) started operating an Airbus A350-900 XWB between HCM City and Osaka City, Japan, on October 30.

The new aircraft will cater to the need created by the rise in travelers between the two cities. It will also help the airline offer quality service to the Japanese market. VNA currently operates 14 flights a week from HCM City and Hà Nội to Osaka.

VNA is already operating A350-900 XWB from Ha Noi and HCM City to Paris, Ha Noi to Seoul and HCM City to Shanghai.

On October 31, the carrier received a new Airbus A350-900 at Noi Bai International Airport. It will start operating on the Ha Noi - HCM City route from November 1. It is the fifth aircraft of its kind to be delivered. VNA has signed a 14-aircraft contract with Airbus, which will be handed over one after another until mid-2019. — VNS
