Kido supports the disadvantaged

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Foodstuff producer Kido Joint Stock Company (KDC) has started construction of two bridges in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Long An to support the disadvantaged in the area.

The bridges which are constructed in Thanh Hoa and Thu Thua communes, will be completed in the first quarter of 2016.

KDC has built five bridges in Mekong region.

In another development, the company presented VND500 million (US$23,800) to the Fund for the Poor, which will be used to support disadvantaged families and children during the Lunar New Year holiday.

This is the 15th year that Kido has contributed to the fund.

The company has been involved in many charity programmes over the years. In November, it spent VND1.2 billion ($57,000) to support the disadvantaged. — VNS
