HA NOI (Biz Hub) — South Korea's Hanwha Group has offered to develop a US$200 billion solar power plant with a capacity of 100-200 MW in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, baodautu.vn reports.
During a recent meeting with Hanwha Group's representative, chairman of the province's People's Committee, Nguyen Van Cao appreciated the group's initiatives to build a solar power plant in the locality.
He vowed to facilitate Hanwha's project survey and research because its investment was in line with the Viet Nam government's renewal energy development policy and the province's socio-economic development orientations.
Hanwha Group is the South Korea's fifth largest investor operating in the fields of finance, construction and energy. The group is implementing solar energy projects in Viet Nam as part of the co-operation agreements inked between the two governments. — VNS
