HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Kido Group has seen profits boom in the first half of the year, with the food and flavouring producer attributing growth to its new ice-cream products.
In a report, the company announced that earnings before interest and tax jumped three-fold year-on-year to VND39 billion (US$1.7 million) on revenues of nearly VND984 billion ($44.7 million).
New ice cream products contributed nearly 75 per cent of the turnover.
The company said it plans to build a plant in the northern province of Bac Ninh in the third quarter which would play an important role in increasing its capacity to produce frozen products like yoghurt and ice cream.
Furthermore, it would help to cut costs and increase coverage of the northern region, it said.
